Taking life one step at a time
After doing commercial electrical work for almost a year, I knew it wasn’t for me. It was a lot of hours of my life being alone and being frustrated. I did like going to work from time to time, it helped me understand and take pride in where I came from. I had the chance to be one of the last people to work in the old GM plant called Willow run. Willow run was first built by Ford in WWII times...

This came out of my mouth to day...
Dream more then you can love. God has given each of us a passion that no one else has. Your passion and dreams are limited by your own love and your own strength. Let god love people through you and your passion. Let god be your strength. Then your dreams and passions will be more then you ever thought possible.
My honesty and integrity is worth more then...
I Can’t Believe This is Happening… I had the most intense day of my life the other day here in Nepal. My test of honesty and integrity vs. wealth and riches. It all started when I went to Thamel to buy some gifts for people back at home. As I was walking around a younger Nepali guy started a conversation with me. We talked about school and where we were from, mostly just small talk. Next...

Next adventuer in Nepal!
I’m getting ready for my next adventure here in Nepal. I’m going with the guy from the UN to the mountains to take food and supplies up there. We are going to places that no car can go and the only way to get to the people is by foot. its going to be hard core and sweet. With that said I’m not going to be able to talk for a lil over a week until I get back. i hope to have some sweet stories to...
don’t ever forget every thing can change in a day. you just have to be patient for that day to come.
For not even god can put anything in a heart that is already full.

how do we love the hard to love?
something I have learned is the harder it is to love someone the more faith in Jesus we need and the more humble our hearts need to be. my first time at the old age home I didn’t want to touch the people or anything for that matter, even though I really wanted to love them it was hard for me to look past the surface. after going a few times I gave god my broken weak love and gave it to him and he...
whats in your heart?
So this past week has been the hardest week form since I have been
here, but probably also the most real. This past week I have learned my
first hard lesson here. I saw and learned first hand what Jesus was
telling us when he said things like, “when you hate someone it¹s the
same as comiting murder and when you lust over a woman you are committing
adultery.” I used to think that this...

There is a lot going on in the house I live in and it requires more of my attention then before. more and more challenges are coming up making my tom here harder but, I know I need to be here and I know god wants me here. So please keep me in...
If someone were to show you love or help you in some way what would they do or say?
Adventures
I found my self for the past week worrying about the future, and what the next step in my life will be for me. For example, what do I do after my time here in Nepal? Do I stay at Ivenwold? Do I go to New York and help out there? Should I go out of the country again? Do I go home and start school and do an internship somewhere? Should I start thinking of pursuing a girl? On top of that I was trying...
Update #4
So today is my day to stay home and watch the house while everyone else goes to the house of the elderly. I wanted to take some time and write about what is going on.
We are beginning to build relationships in the neighborhood. Raj is one of the guys I lived with at Ivenwold. Raj has a girlfriend named Deepa. Her mother owns a little shop about 50 feet from our front door so we go visit her...

Update #3
Things are going good, and I feel like I am getting used to everything now. Now we all need to get refocused and start working on the challenges we are being faced with. First off, we are working on the house we live in. The first floor is done, but the rest of the 4 floors are not. For right now, we are working on the guest room. The room has power, doors, and windows, so now we are working on...

What i am learning in Colorado
1. When god blesses you with the chance to do something dangerous or go on an adventure don’t ask for protection, just thank god for the chance to do something cool. He gave you this adventure because he loves you.
2. You can have fun doing things that are free.
3. Being nice to people in Colorado goes a long way.
4. The best chair lift is a truck bed.

Going to Nepal
Wow, things are really moving fast in my life. I will be leaving for Nepal the second week of March! I am going to Kathmandu. I have been living in D.C. at Ivanwold with 2 guys from Nepal. They are friends with people in the community and have asked me to go to Nepal to serve and love friends and family in Nepal. This isn’t a mission trip; it’s a “relationship trip”. The difference is, I’m not...

A day in history...
Since I am living in DC, I knew I had to go to Mr. Obama’s inauguration. I woke up at 3am and started layering up. I knew it was going to be freezing. I rushed to get to the Metro Station and jumped on the first train the second the door opened. When I finally got off the sardine packed metro, I got in line to the security check. Now try to imagine a line 3 city blocks long, packed so tightly you...
September comming to an end (old)
September comming to an end Here’s the up date on what’s going on in my life… I have a mentor!!! I’ve finally got a mentor and he is so great. On our first meeting we talked about why Africa is so corrupt and how to fix it. We discussed world issues that the United Nations are trying to solve and what is being done to help people. For the past few weeks the guys in the house and I have been...
end of Aug and on to month 2 (old)
Sorry I haven’t been able to bring you all up to date lately. I have been on the road for the past 15 days and I did not have even a few seconds of spare time to write. Anyway, the trip was great! We traveled to North Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; Nashville, Tennessee; Kansas City, Kansas; Champaign & Chicago Illinois; Rochester, Michigan; Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Columbus, Ohio. A little more...
first week (old)
The first 2 days have been really great. When I first got here, I got to sit in on a really great bible study. It was about how Jesus got people to follow him. After that, I met some of the guys here but, they had to leave right away to go work. I then began to unpack. I thought to my self, what the heck did I get my self into? I started to feel sad and I didn’t know if I had made the right choice...
leaving and getting there (old)
As I was leaving Rochester, it was the first time I knew that I was leaving home. I said good-bye to my mom and gave her a kiss and I was on my way. Benjamin, a former German, VW intern who lived with us two years ago was visiting us this past week. He drove me to the Airport. When I was in the car with him I found my self-pointing out all the places that I would miss about Rochester. Even though...
prayer, love and support... (old)
prayer, love and support… Okay…so here’s what’s going on: I will be living in Washington, DC starting August 1st. I am going to be living at Ivanwald for about a year or more. I am going to be learning how to be a man that God can use for the rest of my life. The best way I can describe what I am doing would compare to a 24/7/365 small group. This community is a Spiritual incubator...
